Women Of Worth

  WOW is a Christian transitional home for women in recovery. Some of the women living here have suffered from physical,sexual,many forms of abuse and addictions.

We are suffering the consequences of our actions and have lost many things such as relationships with God,family children,friends,and property. Some of the women have spent time incarcerated due to the choices they have made.

  WOW is a place where women can reside in peace and begin to transform their lives with Gods help. We are given a chance to live an honest,respectable life with a newfound love for God,self,and others. We are able to assemble an effective support system including a sponsor,mentor,case manager and church members by networking with different churches and community organizations. We must be ready to put forth the effort and hard work needed to change ourselves and our life styles.

  The environment of the house is structured,loving,and serene. We are required to

find a job within two weeks upon arrival and must pay program fees weekly. The women who live here  are required to attend three outside recovery meetings weekly in addition to  three meetings inside the home and  church on Sunday.  We are  randomly drug tested and held accountable  for our actions and decisions.

  The women who established the home are incredibly encouraging and supportive of the women who live here,we operate as a family and each person is treated as an individual with each of us having our own needs, we are truly cared about.

  We have  received donations of many needed items from a couple of churches,and they bring us dinner,bible study, life skills and fellowship monthly. These new friendships, their time and donations help tremendously in encouraging us to achieve stability, build self-respect and assume responsibility for our lives.
