Kristy Pomeroy is a native Nashvillian who attended Lipscomb University to obtain her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work. Her career led her to working with individuals in the areas of domestic violence, the criminal legal system, the jails/prisons and then to a residential re-entry and medical treatment program for women. It was during that time she pursued and obtained her LADAC II (Licensed Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor) in Tennessee. Kristy served at The Next Door for over 9 years in the re-entry program, permanent housing complex and as Director of Admissions for Treatment. In the spring of 2020, amidst the COVID 19 pandemic, Kristy was contacted by Jeaneice Shearon about taking over the Women of Worth Transition House Inc (aka Women of Worth Recovery Home.) After thoughtful prayer and consideration, Kristy assumed the role of Executive Director of Women of Worth (WOW.)
"I am so proud of where we were and where we are now, and anxiously look forward to the future that God has planned for WOW. We serve with love and compassion, as well as honesty and accountability. I am blessed to work alongside such a beautiful, godly team of women who have hearts to serve our residents and alumni."
