Kristy Pomeroy, LBSW, LADAC II

Executive Director

Kristy Pomeroy is a native Nashvillian who attended Lipscomb University to obtain her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work. Her career led her to working with individuals in the areas of domestic violence, the criminal legal system, the jails/prisons and then to a residential re-entry and medical treatment program for women. It was during that time she pursued and obtained her LADAC II (Licensed Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor) in Tennessee. Kristy served at The Next Door for over 9 years in the re-entry program, permanent housing complex and as Director of Admissions for Treatment. In the spring of 2020, amidst the COVID 19 pandemic, Kristy was contacted by Jeaneice Shearon about taking over the Women of Worth Transition House Inc (aka Women of Worth Recovery Home.) After thoughtful prayer and consideration, Kristy assumed the role of Executive Director of Women of Worth (WOW.)

Kristy has been married to Shane Pomeroy since 1995. They have two sons, a daughter-in-love, family and many friends who have offered encouragement and support of the ministry of WOW. Kristy and Shane are active members of the Rural Hill Church of Christ in Antioch.

Taking over this program has been such an unexpected but timely gift in my life. I believe my entire career led me to WOW. Our women come from incarceration with a history of brokenness which includes substance abuse, mental health issues, trauma and more. It is a blessing to meet them in that brokenness and be a small part of their journey! Doing this work alongside Holly Biggs who shares the same values and mission and has the compassionate heart to serve is the bow on top of the gift! We have already seen God’s hand in many ways and will continue to lean on His direction and timing for expanding to serve more women.

Kristy Pomeroy, Executive Director

Holly Biggs, LCSW

Program Manager

Holly is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and serves as Program Manager for WOW. Holly has 14 years experience practicing as a social worker and her time has been spent working with adults and children in recovery from substance use and/or trauma. She has a passion for serving women coming from incarceration and when Kristy approached her with the opportunity at WOW, it was easy to say “Yes.” Holly and Kristy initially crossed paths while working in The Next Door re-entry program. Holly's desire is that each woman who calls WOW home will find an emotionally safe place where recovery can be experienced.

Holly is originally from Dallas, TX, but has been happy to call Nashville home for over 20 years. She has been married to Chris since 2005 and has two young children. Holly is a member of Grace Community Church in Brentwood, TN.

Catherine Hardin

Volunteer Coordinator

Catherine is from Dallas, Texas, and moved to Nashville to attend Belmont University. She is married to Shea Hardin and the proud mother of two children, Briggs and Farrah. Catherine's career has been centered around employment services with both for-profit and non-profit agencies. Catherine met Kristy Pomeroy and Holly Biggs while working at The Next Door, Inc. At The Next Door, Catherine served as a Workforce Development Coordinator, Development Coordinator and Volunteer Coordinator. She loves working with women who are re-entering society and supporting them as they build new lives of wholeness and hope!
